Imam Khamenei has announced Sunday to be Eid al-Fitr
The Office of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has announced in a statement that tomorrow, May 24, 2020, is the first day of the holy month of Shawwal and the auspicious day of Eid al-Fitr.
The text of this statement is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
We wish for the acceptance of the prayers and worship acts carried out by the dear nation during the holy month of Ramadan. We would like to inform the honorable people of Iran that based on various reports from competent, reliable people who have sighted the moon, the sighting of the moon has been established for the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, at sunset on Saturday (May 23, 2020 corresponding to Ramadan 29, 1441). Thus, tomorrow (Sunday) May 24 will be Eid al-Fitr.
